Privacy Policy

HailSweep (“we”) makes storm, hail, and lead-generation tools for the web and for our iOS and Android apps. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because we don't do anything sneaky with your data: we don't sell it, and we don't share it with advertisers.

1. What we collect

Account information — your name, email, phone number, company name, and password (stored encrypted) when you sign up or are invited to a company.

Location— in the mobile app, if you allow it, we use your device's location while you're using the appto center the map on where you are and to mark your spot while canvassing door-to-door. We use it live and don't store a history of your movements or track you in the background. You can decline and still use the app; you'll just center the map manually.

Photos — only a photo you choose to attach to a support message is uploaded. We never access your photo library otherwise.

Leads and work you save— the addresses, storms, folders, notes, and door-knock statuses you create in the app are stored so they're there next time you sign in.

Basic usage — we record sign-ins and light usage counts to keep the service running, prevent abuse, and understand which features get used.

2. How we use it

To provide the service: show you maps and reports, generate and organize leads, run your account and company plan, send the emails you ask for (password resets, team invites, and storm alerts you turn on), and provide support. That's it.

3. Who we share it with

We use a few trusted providers to run HailSweep, and share only what each needs to do its job:

• Stripe — processes payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
• Resend — delivers our emails (resets, invites, alerts).
• Our own server — a private virtual server that hosts the app and database.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

4. Where the map & property data comes from

Weather and storm data come from public government sources (NWS/NOAA). Property and business details come from public records and openly-licensed datasets. These describe places, not you.

5. Your choices

You can turn location permission on or off in your phone's settings, turn storm-alert emails on or off in Settings, and edit your account details anytime. To delete your account and its data, contact us from the Support page and we'll remove it.

6. Security & retention

Connections use HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and we keep your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to run the service.

7. Children

HailSweep is a business tool and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
